Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body. (Hebrews13: 3 ESV)
Faithful brothers and sisters in Christ:
Peace be with you!
We are a group of overseas Chinese Christians. The persecuted house churches and bound brothers and sisters in China have always been in our hearts, and the Spirit that touched them has also touched us. For this reason, we registered in the United States and set up the Autumn Rain Evangelistic Organization.
In June 2020, the first ministry of Autumn Rain Ministries, the Wang Yi Library website (www.wangyilibrary.org) was launched. With more than 1,500 entries, the Wang Yi Library presents the faith, service and life of Rev. Wang Yi, responding to the situation, needs and challenges of today's generation, in the hope of shepherding and blessing more people around the world.
In September 2022, several persecuted house churches initiated "5pm in China Kingdom Prayer Meeting" - a daily 5:00 PM Zoom meeting to openly pray for sentenced and non-sentenced servants of the Lord and messengers of the gospel. For the preachers of these churches made a covenant with each other and with their own families - if anyone was arrested, to pray in their own way at 5:00 p.m. each day in their respective places.
About twenty years ago, a sister wrote the hymn "Five o'clock in the morning in China", and she sang with deep emotion: "Five o'clock in the morning in China, there comes the sound of prayers, prayers that bring revival and peace, and unity and victory". Twenty years later, an elder was moved to fill in the new words:
At five o'clock in the afternoon in China, you can hear prayers resounding. God's grace descends from the heavens, no high walls can block it. At five o'clock in the afternoon in China, you can hear prayers resounding. Hearts unite to prosper the Gospel, may the Lord bestow His grace upon us! At five o'clock in the afternoon in China, you can hear prayers resounding. Leaping over thousands of waters and mountains, comforting wounded souls. Though bodies are confined, spirits remain unbound. Suffering for Christ, Advancing the Gospel, May the Kingdom of the Lord be revived.
In today's China, these persecuted churches and imprisoned servants have become a drama that is being performed for the world and the angels to see. In today's China, a movement of carrying the cross and focusing on the heavenly throne of Jesus is being raised up by these churches and promoted by these servants. Isn't what they are performing an evangelistic drama? Is it not an evangelistic movement that they are launching? How can we not watch it, how can we not participate in it, how can we not be a part of it?
As we love the Autumn Rain Church, we love more persecuted house churches; as we love Pastor Wang Yi, we love more bound servants of the Lord. This year, Autumn Rain Ministries has started to establish the "5pm in China" ministry, and has already launched the "5pm in China" YouTube channel, and will soon launch the "5pm in China" website. The "5pm in China" YouTube channel has already been launched, and the "5pm in China" website will be launched soon. The 5pm China ministry will not only provide information services such as the latest news, special reports, lesson plans, and books on the persecuted churches, but will also focus on practical care, assistance, and related activities for the suffering brothers and sisters.
We ask you, our faithful brothers and sisters in Christ, to care for and support the 5pminChina ministry and to pray for it often, asking the Lord to use it to weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice, to perform on the same stage as this gospel drama, and to walk alongside this gospel movement!
We invite you to join our ministry and become a part of Autumn Rain Sacramental Ministry. We are in need of volunteers for copy editing, video production, English translation, website maintenance and field visits. Brothers and sisters who are moved to do so, please contact us via email.
Please support our ministry with your financial support so that this fledgling evangelistic ministry can reach more and more needy brothers and sisters in the persecuted Chinese house churches.
